There are several ways to customize the generated code:
- It uses a partial class approach, so you can extend the generated code by declaring a partial class with additional functionality.

- You can use the repository model to include your own repository implementation, derived or vice versa from the base generated implementation.
- Finally, as a last resort, you can modify the generated code immediately and then add this file to the “list of escaped files” to prevent it from being overwritten. This is the last resort, because if you accidentally run a file that is not listed in the list of escaped files, you may lose all your changes!
